We are seeking a detail-oriented Registered Chemical Technician or Licensed Chemist to join our environmental testing laboratory team. In this role, you will perform high-precision chemical analyses on environmental samples, ensure compliance with quality control standards, and manage laboratory inventory. This position is open to both entry-level and experienced professionals who are passionate about analytical chemistry and environmental safety.
Conduct trace metal analysis for Cadmium (Cd), Nickel (Ni), Zinc (Zn), Molybdenum (Mo), Tin (Sn), Bismuth (Bi), Platinum (Pt), and Gold (Au) in water, mineral, and air matrices
Utilize Flame/Graphite Furnace Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS) and perform MIBK (Methyl Isobutyl Ketone) liquid-liquid extractions for Cd, Pb, Ni, and Au determination
Oversee the receipt, logging, and monitoring of incoming air samples to ensure sample integrity
Perform quarterly Laboratory Fortified Blank (LFB) digestions for critical water analysis parameters (Ag, Pb, As, Se)
Validate expired stock standards and reference solutions to maintain test accuracy
Prepare accurate chemical reagents, calibration standards, and samples strictly adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Maintain a meticulous and up-to-date inventory of stock solutions and reagents for assigned analytical parameters
Graduate of BS Chemistry, BS Chemical Engineering, or any related science course
Must be a Licensed Chemist or Registered Chemical Technician (PRC licensed)
Experience in an environmental testing laboratory is an advantage
Familiarity with AAS instrumentation, wet chemistry techniques, and chemical safety protocols is preferred
Excellent analytical skills, high attention to detail, strong organizational habits, and the ability to work effectively in a structured laboratory environment
