Job summary

Avesco Marketing Corp. in the Philippines is seeking a skilled KNX Technician to lead end-to-end smart building projects, from installation to commissioning and maintenance of KNX-based automation (lighting, HVAC, shading, security).

You will program KNX devices with ETS, develop user interfaces, document configurations, and ensure system reliability on-site for diverse client environments. Certification and strong troubleshooting are essential.

Responsibilities

• Program and configure KNX devices using ETS (versions 5 or 6).
• Create topology, group addresses, and parameter settings per project specs.
• Integrate KNX with DALI, BACnet, Modbus, IP, MQTT.
• Develop visualization interfaces for end-users on touch panels or mobile apps.
• Perform or supervise physical installation of KNX components.
• Conduct on-site testing, addressing and commissioning of devices.
• Validate system functionality against scope (scene, logic, heating).
• Diagnose and resolve communication errors, bus voltage issues or failures.
• Perform routine maintenance and firmware updates for client systems.
• Prepare As-Built drawings, user manuals, ETS backups.

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented KNX Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end implementation of smart building solutions using the KNX standard. You will handle the physical installation oversight, programming, commissioning, and maintenance of automation systems including lighting, HVAC, shading, and security.

Key responsibilities

• Program and configure KNX devices using ETS (Engineering Tool Software) (versions 5 or 6)
• Create topology, group addresses, and parameter settings according to project specifications
• Integrate KNX systems with other protocols and gateways (eg. DALI, BACnet, Modbus, IP, MQTT)
• Develop visualization interfaces (dashboards) for end-users on touch panels or mobile apps
• Perform or supervise the physical installation of KNX components (actuators, sensors, power supplies, couplers)
• Conduct on-site testing, addressing, and commissioning of devices
• Validate system functionality against the scope of work (eg, scene setting, logic functions, heating control)
• Diagnose and resolve communication errors, bus voltage issues, or device failures
• Perform routine maintenance and firmware updates for existing client systems
• Prepare technical documentation, including As-Built drawings, user manuals, and ETS project file backups
