Job summary

IKEA Pasay is seeking a Team Leader for Kitchen Food to drive IKEA Kitchen operations, ensuring products meet forecasts, recipes, and portion standards while delivering a welcoming atmosphere that encourages customers to return.

You will lead a large team, plan production, maintain safety and quality, and collaborate with marketing and store teams to deliver great food experiences. The role requires strong people leadership and a passion for cost-conscious, high-volume kitchen operations.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years in leadership managing a large team in fast‑paced food and/or retail.
• Experience with KPI‑driven action plans and HACCP/food safety
• Strong communication, coaching and interpersonal skills
• Sales‑driven, cost‑conscious and passionate about food
• Knowledge of high‑volume kitchen operations and production planning
• Understanding of inventory management, FIFO/FEFO, yields and waste control
• Ability to organize and deploy a large team in a fast‑paced environment
• Strong problem solving and decision making skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Lead a large kitchen team to meet daily operational goals, production targets and KPIs.
• Plan manpower based on production needs, workload and priorities.
• Lead briefings to align the team on targets, food safety and ways of working.
• Coach staff on cooking procedures, recipes, portion control, and equipment use.
• Support onboarding, training and development of co‑workers.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, HACCP, cleanliness and quality standards.
• Coordinate with kitchen, restaurant, and support functions for smooth operations.
• Maintain records and monitor production, inventory and waste.
