Job summary

Vista Marina Hotel is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team in Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Zambales. You will support preparation, cooking, and service, working closely with senior kitchen staff to uphold our high standards of food safety and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or hospitality experience preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and food safety.
• Physically fit to stand for long periods and lift heavy items.
• Good teamwork and communication with senior kitchen staff.
• Willingness to learn food preparation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping vegetables and meats.
• Assist chefs in food preparation and cooking processes per recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen at all times.
• Dispose of food waste following health and safety regulations.
• Stock and organise kitchen supplies for ready use.
• Support delivery and storage of fresh ingredients.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
• Assist with plating and garnishing under supervision of senior staff.
• Keep the kitchen workspace tidy and organized during service.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation protocols to prevent contamination.
• Work efficiently during busy service periods.
