Job summary

FairWind, a global provider for wind turbine installation and servicing, seeks an experienced Key Account Manager in Mexico to develop, maintain and expand relationships with OEMs and asset owners, lead service and installation opportunities, and coordinate the initial operational setup for projects.

You will negotiate, draft commercial documentation, and manage the sales pipeline across the Mexican wind market, engaging with international stakeholders and ensuring timely delivery of project

Qualifications

  • 5–7 years in wind energy sales, with PM/ops background in Mexico.
  • Solid understanding of market dynamics and commercial drivers.
  • Full professional proficiency in Spanish and English; ability to negotiate with international stakeholders.
  • Experience with tender management and complex commercial proposals.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to forecast sales and analyze margin and cash flow.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and expand long-term relationships with OEMs (Vestas, SGRE, Nordex) and asset owners in Mexico.
  • Lead service and turbine installation opportunities with RFQs and quotations.
  • Coordinate initial operational setup and project execution in Mexico until volume justifies Head of Projects/Operations.
  • Manage the sales process, price negotiations, and project scoping with cross-unit contributions.
  • Research client needs, track market regulations, and monitor KPIs for stakeholders.

Join FairWind and become part of one of the wind industry. We are currently looking for an experienced Key Account manager. You mission will be to be responsible for obtaining, maintaining, and expanding long-term relationships with Key Customers (OEMs and asset owners) and stakeholders primarily within the Mexican wind market, leading both service and turbine installation opportunities. Additionally, to serve as the local, hands-on operational and regulatory anchor in Mexico, coordinating the launch of initial projects and overcoming local operational bottlenecks until project volume justifies a dedicated Head of Projects/Operations.

Your Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and expand solid, long-term trusting relationships with key OEMs (Vestas, SGRE, Nordex) procurement and service divisions in Mexico.
  • Develop and maintain solid, long-term trusting relationships with asset owners as Key Clients.
  • Develop and maintain market intelligence networks, focusing on understanding local market regulations, pricing, and competitiveness trends, while tracking the activities of local partners, crane companies, and wind sector competitors.
  • Primary focus on service opportunities/RFQs for preventive and corrective maintenance, including blade repair and following up on wind turbine installation projects with local OEM teams
  • Keep abreast of industry and market trends and best practices, performing proper research and competitive analysis.
  • Maintain effective control and ownership of the Sales process during the quotation phase according to market/customer needs.
  • Handle price negotiations and quoting, including all project scopes with contributions from the supporting business units.
  • Establish the initial operational setup for services and manage local project execution.
  • Provide primary Client interface, research Client needs and requirements, and address and effectively resolve complaints.
  • Meet all necessary deadlines, formal requirements (signatures, etc.), and documentation submissions.
  • Measure, track, and report key account metrics (including OEM financial condition/results monitoring) for internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis.
Requisitos mínimos
Our Requirements
  • Proven experience of 5 to 7 years in the wind energy sector in a sales role, complemented by a background in project management or operations within WTG preventive and corrective maintenance in Mexico.
  • Solid understanding of market dynamics, key clients, and commercial drivers across onshore wind projects.
  • Full professional proficiency in both Spanish and English, with the ability to negotiate, draft commercial documentation, and communicate effectively with international stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation skills with experience in tender management and preparing complex commercial proposals.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to prepare sales forecasts, monitor performance through KPIs, and conduct basic financial assessments such as margin analysis, cost structure review, and cash flow forecasts of projects.
  • Capable of leading the initial operational setup and manage the execution of the first WTG preventive and corrective maintenance projects in Mexico, until local project volume justifies a dedicated Head of Projects/Operation
