Job summary

Our Client seeks a Kafka Operations Engineer in Makati to administer and scale enterprise Kafka clusters and automate delivery pipelines. You will collaborate with development and architecture teams to maintain a reliable, observable event-driven environment.

Responsibilities include cluster management, ecosystem tooling, and on-call incident response. Strong knowledge of security controls and on-call processes is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on professional experience administering Apache Kafka in production.
• CCAAK certification is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and operate Apache Kafka production clusters including broker tuning and ACL administration.
• Administer Kafka ecosystem tools: Schema Registry, Kafka Connect, MirrorMaker 2.
• Build and maintain IaC scripts using Terraform or Ansible.
• Monitor performance, capacity planning, and observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, EFK).
• Enforce data governance, TLS, SASL-SCRAM, and ACLs; participate in 24/7 on-call rotation.
• Onboard new producers/consumers and contribute to Event Catalog and docs.
