Job summary

Accenture in the Philippines is seeking a Network Operations Engineer to ensure stable and secure operation of the organization’s Juniper-based network infrastructure. You will provide proactive monitoring, timely incident response, and effective troubleshooting across Juniper firewalls, switches, wireless access points, and Mist-managed devices.

The role requires hands-on experience with Juniper technologies, strong fundamentals in TCP/IP and routing, and familiarity with ITSM tools such as

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience supporting Juniper network devices such as SRX firewalls, EX switches, wireless APs, and Mist.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing & switching, VLANs, STP, LACP, NAT, ACLs, VPN concepts, and wireless basics.
• Ability to use network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (Ping, traceroute, packet captures, Syslog, dashboards).
• Familiarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Jira.
• Basic knowledge of automation/scripting (Python, Ansible, REST APIs) is a plus.
• Understanding of incident, change, problem, and request management processes.

Responsibilities

• Network Monitoring and Operations - Monitor health, availability, and performance of Juniper-based network infrastructure.
• Incident and Problem Management - Handle network incidents, outages, and degradations per processes.
• Configuration and Change Support - Implement standard changes and validate health checks.

Summary:

The Network Operations Engineer will ensure stable and secure operation of the organization’s Juniper-based network infrastructure by providing proactive monitoring, timely incident response, effective troubleshooting, and operational support across firewalls, switches, wireless access points, and Mist-managed services.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Network Monitoring and Operations - Monitor the health, availability, and performance of network infrastructure, including Juniper firewalls, switches, wireless access points, and Mist-managed devices.


• Incident and Problem Management- Handle network incidents, outages, and degradation events in accordance with incident management processes.


• Configuration and Change Support - Implement approved standard changes on Juniper network devices and validate pre-change and post-change health checks to ensure service stability.


• Security and Compliance Support- Assist in the operational management of Juniper firewalls by reviewing logs, policy behavior, NAT, VPN status, and security events.


• Documentation and Reporting - Create and maintain operational documentation, knowledge articles, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides.

Job Qualifications:

Hands-on experience supporting Juniper network devices, such as: Juniper SRX firewalls, Juniper EX switches, Juniper wireless access points, Juniper Mist cloud-managed networking platform

• Strong understanding of: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Routing and switching fundamentals, VLANs, STP, LACP, trunk/access ports, Firewall concepts, NAT, ACLs, security zones, and policies, VPN concepts and basic troubleshooting, Wireless networking fundamentals (SSID, RF basics, authentication, roaming)


• Ability to use network monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as: Ping, traceroute, Packet capture tools, Syslog and event log analysis, Dashboard and monitoring platforms


• Familiarity with ticketing and ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, or equivalent.


• Basic knowledge of automation/scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible, or REST APIs) is a plus.


• Understanding of standard network operation processes including incident, change, problem, and request management.

Required Experience

• 1 to 2 years of experience in network operations, network support, or NOC environments.


• At least 1-2 years of hands-on experience with Juniper technologies in an operational support capacity.


• Experience supporting enterprise or managed services environments with multi-site network infrastructure.


• Exposure to shift-based support, on-call rotations, or 24x7 operations is preferred.
