Job summary

Ecology Energy Corporation in the Philippines seeks a detail-oriented Tax/Accountant to manage tax compliance and reporting across monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles. You will review returns, support year-end financials, and coordinate with BIR filings.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Experience in budget preparation and financial analysis.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Previous experience in an accounting or finance role is preferred.
• A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Checking and monitoring of the assigned companies' monthly, quarterly, and annual reportorial tax requirements.
• Reviewing monthly tax returns to determine proper compliance and corrections, if needed.
• Assist in the year-end review of Financials (Balance Sheet & Income Statement) in reconciliation with BIR compliance.
• Assist in representing the assigned companies before the BIR for presentation of documents.
• Assist in all tax matters and tax-related concerns of the assigned companies.
• Keep updated with tax and regulatory changes related to the industries of the assigned companies.
• Coordinate and help reconcile BIR findings with regard to BIR assessments.
• Serve as repository and manage safekeeping and filing of all relevant government and internal documentation.
• Assist with tax clearance applications of the assigned companies.
• Monitor compliance to all statutory requirements and assist in application and renewal of permits/licenses, including PEZA and BOI.
• Supervise the maintenance, organization, and storage of financial records for tax preparedness.
• Perform other related activities as prescribed by Immediate Superior.
