Worldwide Resources Solutions Philippines Inc. is seeking a Junior Security Administrator to safeguard digital infrastructure, manage IAM, MFA, SSO, and enforce least privilege across systems. You will work with security solutions engineers and IT teams in a 24/7 environment.
The role emphasizes monitoring SIEM, performing vulnerability checks, applying patches, and maintaining documentation for compliance with ISO 27001, HIPAA, or NIST frameworks, while rotating shifts in Bridgetowne, QC.
The Junior Security Administrator plays an essential role in safeguarding the organization’s digital infrastructure, protecting sensitive data, and ensuring users have the appropriate level of access. Working closely with security solutions engineer and systems teams, this role handles day-to-day security operations, identity and access management (IAM), endpoint protection, and basic vulnerability tracking. The ideal candidate is an analytical, detail-oriented professional with a strong security mindset who is ready to enforce security baselines and help maintain corporate compliance.
Oversee daily user access control tasks. Provision and de-provision user accounts, configure Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), manage single sign-on (SSO) integrations, and enforce the principle of least privilege across corporate systems.
Assist in maintaining and deploying Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) or antivirus agents across all corporate workstations and servers. Ensure definition files are updated and investigate minor endpoint alerts.
Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) consoles, firewall logs, and cloud security alerts. Perform initial triage on suspicious activities (e.g., unusual login locations, flagged emails) and elevate high-risk threats to security solutions engineer.
Assist in executing routine internal and external vulnerability scans. Document findings, track remediation progress across systems and network teams, and verify that critical patches are applied on schedule.
Manage corporate email security gateways. Review flagged spam or phishing reports from users, update blocklists and assist in running internal phishing simulation campaigns to improve employee awareness.
Assist in gathering evidence, logs, and configuration records for periodic governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) audits, ensuring alignment with standards like ISO 27001, HIPAA, or NIST frameworks.
Maintain precise documentation of security policies, access matrices, approved exception logs, and incident handling runbooks.
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Practical experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and Active Directory. Understanding of Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and role-based access control (RBAC).
Solid grasp of core security concepts including firewalls, Access Control Lists (ACLs), user VPNs, data encryption at rest and in transit, and secure protocols (HTTPS, SSH, TLS).
Comfortable navigating both Windows Server/Workstation environments and enterprise Linux distributions to verify local security settings.
Basic ability to read and interpret log files from operating systems, applications, and network devices.
Must be willing to work in rotating shifts or US time zone.
Must be willing to work in the office at Bridgetowne, QC.
