Ideal candidates are new graduates with a strong foundation in economics, finance, or accounting, good analytical skills, and the ability to work in a team while meeting tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent.
• Knowledge in investment analysis and/or financial research.
• Basic analytical ability and financial understanding of investment issues.
• Understanding of corporate governance issues and capital markets.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail, organization skills, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Ability to work within a team-oriented environment.
• Average knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
• Amenable to working extended hours (overtime, holiday & weekend work).
• Willing to work for a full-time contractual/temporary employment lasting 5 to 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Gain understanding of investment and shareholder issues gathered through fundamental research.
• Distill financial and corporate governance information to write research reports and issue proxy vote recommendations.
• Maintain advanced understanding of compensation, board, and shareholder rights issues.
• Answer issuer queries on research reports and discuss policy issues.
• Actively participate in various working committees and/or special projects.
