Job summary

RCBC Bankard Services Corporation seeks a data scientist to partner with business units, perform advanced analytics, and deliver insights to optimize marketing, portfolio management, and cardholder experience. You will monitor KPIs and ensure operational continuity through documentation and proper handovers.

The role requires a 4-year degree in statistics/math/CS, 3–5 years in data science, proficiency in SQL and Python, and experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Snowflake, Databricks).

Qualifications

Job description

• Serves as a strategic partner to business units to identify challenges and discover opportunities for data-driven solutions.
• Conducts exploratory and advanced analytics including optimization, forecasting, segmentation, A/B testing, and impact analysis using data from multiple sources
• Develops and delivers impactful analytical insights to strategically guide marketing initiatives, optimize portfolio management strategies, and enhance overall cardholder experience
• Monitors key performance indicators and business impact of implemented analytics and machine-learning solutions.
• Ensures seamless continuity of critical operations by maintaining comprehensive documentation and managing the proper turn-over of tasks to back-up personnel during absences or job rotations.

Job Requirements

• Graduate of a 4-year course preferably in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related courses
• Preferably minimum 3-5 years of experience in data science and analytics roles in industries such as banking/finance, market research, telecommunications, insurance, and other related disciplines
• Experience in statistical analysis and machine learning modeling
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g. AWS, Snowflake, Databricks)
• Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, MS Word, database management
• Proficient in programming with SQL and Python
