Job summary

Chinabank PH is seeking a Data Science Lead to drive advanced analytics, ML, and AI initiatives that promote business growth. You will lead a team of data professionals, partnering with stakeholders across the bank to turn data into strategic decisions and measurable value.

You will shape data-driven decision making, oversee end-to-end projects, and stay ahead of AI trends, ensuring governance, quality, and scalable solutions across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years in data science/analytics with at least 5 years in leadership and banking experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, ML, and predictive analytics.
• Proficiency in Python or R; experience with SQL and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Familiarity with big data technologies and cloud platforms (Hadoop, Spark, AWS, Azure) is advantageous.
• Solid project management experience including planning, resource allocation, risk & issue management, and stakeholder management.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering). Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Data Science or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role, and relevant banking experience.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, machine learning, and predictive analytics.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R. Experience with data manipulation and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
• Familiarity with big data technologies and cloud platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, AWS, Azure) is advantageous.
• Project management experience including planning, initiation, resource allocation, risk & issue management, and stakeholder management are required.
