Job summary

MI ASSOCIATES PTE. LTD. is seeking a Junior Interior Designer for a Commercial Office project to translate client concepts into functional spaces.

You will perform space planning, create 3D visuals, source materials, and prepare design proposals with color selections, coordinating with clients and contractors on site.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Architecture or Interior Design or equivalent
• 0–3 years of experience in interior projects or related fields
• Strong in design detailing and materials knowledge
• Proficient in necessary design software

Responsibilities

• Perform space planning and create 3D visualizations
• Source materials and gather cost estimates
• Prepare design proposals with materials, images and color selections
• Present design concepts to clients in formal presentations
• Produce tender drawings, working drawings and finish specifications
• Coordinate with clients, contractors and specialists on design/construction issues

• Gather site progress updates and resolve issues with contractors and specialists

Junior Interior Designer for Commercial Office

Responsibilities:

• Performs space planning and visualizes in 3D perspective;
• Sources for materials and gathers cost estimates from suppliers for budgeting;
• Prepares design proposal with materials, concept images and colour selections;
• Assists in conveying design concept to clients in formal presentations;
• Produces tender drawings, working drawings and interior finishes specifications;
• Liaises and discuss design/construction issues with clients and specialists;
• Involvement in tender exercise process, evaluate tender submission and report on recommendation;
• Review and approval of shop drawings and material submitted by contractor;
• Gather updates on progress on-site and resolves issues with contractors and specialists.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Architecture/ Interior Design or equivalent
• 0 – 3 years of experience in interior projects or similar industries;
• Strong in design detailing and good knowledge of materials and technical requirements;
• Good computer literacy and well-versed in necessary design related software.
