Junior Financial Analyst - FP&A

What the day will look like

• Support the preparation of monthly reporting packages, including actuals, variance analysis and commentary against budget and forecast.
• Support month-end closing activities including monitoring of accruals, invoice payments, prepayments and re-classes.
• Assist in the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting cycles by collecting, consolidating and validating financial data.
• Maintain and update financial models, trackers and dashboards, ensuring accuracy and consistency of data.
• Perform reconciliations and investigate variances, escalating anomalies to senior analysts and managers.
• Partner with stakeholders across regions to gather inputs, respond to ad hoc queries and support decision-making.
• Contribute to process improvement, standardisation and automation initiatives, including the adoption of digital and AI-enabled tools.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, SOPs and reporting deadlines.
• Work EMEA hours, with a preferred start time between 12:00PM and 1:00PM local time.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 1 - 2 years of experience in a finance, accounting or analytical role including internships. Strong graduates are welcome to apply.
• Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data handling).
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken, for daily work with international stakeholders.
• Well organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities against deadlines.

• Exposure to FP&A processes such as budgeting, forecasting or management reporting.
• Familiarity with BI and planning tools (e.g., Power BI, Workday Adaptive Planning, TM1) or a willingness to learn them.
• Interest in automation and AI-enabled ways of working (e.g. Power Query, Copilot, macros/VBA).
• Professional qualification in progress (e.g CGMA, CFA, ACCA) is an advantage.
