Job summary

Talent Map Global BPO, Inc. seeks a Junior Digital Workforce Agent (DWA) Developer to join our Philippines GCC engineering team. You will develop Python-based microservices, test APIs, and build AI-assisted solutions, collaborating with senior developers in an Agile environment.

You will work with FastAPI/Flask, REST endpoints, and testing with pytest, while gaining exposure to Azure cloud deployments and DevOps practices in a global client setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in CS/SE/IT; HS diploma acceptable with 2+ years tech experience.
• 1–2 years hands-on software development experience in Python; familiarity with HTTP/REST concepts.
• Experience developing, testing, or maintaining backend apps, APIs, microservices, or related software.
• Foundational Python knowledge and familiarity with FastAPI or Flask.
• Working knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, and basic microservice concepts.
• Git-based version control (GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps).
• Basic containerization knowledge (Docker).
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure and cloud concepts.
• Experience with pytest for testing; strong English communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Build, test, and maintain Python backend microservices and REST endpoints under guidance.
• Write and run unit/integration/acceptance tests with pytest; create Gherkin BDD scenarios.
• Debug, perform root-cause analysis, and maintain OpenAPI/Swagger docs and deployment guides.
• Utilize AI-assisted development platforms for code generation, refactoring, and testing within Agile/Scrum.
• Support other related duties as needed.

About the role

Talent Map Global BPO, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Digital Workforce Agent (DWA) Developer to join our Global Capability Center (GCC) engineering team in the Philippines. Supporting U.S. enterprise clients, you will assist in developing, testing, and maintaining Python-based microservices, REST API endpoints, and AI-agent tools. Working alongside senior developers, you will leverage modern AI-assisted engineering platforms (such as Devin Desktop), write Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) test suites, and help deploy configurable AI solutions into Microsoft Azure environments.

Key responsibilities

• Build, test, and maintain backend microservices using Python and FastAPI under senior guidance. Implement RESTful API endpoints, small-scope agent tools, and interface components for reusable AI solutions.
• Author and execute unit, integration, and platform acceptance tests using pytest. Write Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) scenarios using Gherkin syntax (Given/When/Then) to validate agent behaviors against non-sensitive synthetic datasets.
• Perform routine debugging and root-cause analysis for software defects in lower environments. Maintain technical documentation, including OpenAPI/Swagger references and developer deployment guides.
• Utilize approved AI-assisted development platforms (including Devin Desktop) for code generation, refactoring, and automated testing within an Agile/Scrum framework.
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned that may not be specifically stated above.

About you

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field. High School Diploma may be considered with a minimum of 2 years of relevant technical experience.
• 1–2 years of hands‑on software development experience, with foundational proficiency in Python and HTTP/REST API concepts.
• Experience developing, testing, or maintaining backend applications, APIs, microservices, or related software solutions is preferred.
• Foundational proficiency in Python and familiarity with frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask.
• Working knowledge of HTTP/REST APIs, RESTful endpoints, JSON, and basic microservice concepts.
• Familiarity with Git‑based version control and platforms such as GitHub, GitLab, or Azure DevOps Repos.
• Basic understanding of containerization, including Docker images, containers, and registries.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure and cloud‑computing concepts.
• Familiarity with software testing using pytest, including unit, integration, and acceptance testing.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, strong attention to detail, good written and verbal English communication skills, strong collaboration and teamwork skills within distributed engineering teams, and receptive to technical guidance, code reviews, feedback, and continuous learning.
