Job summary

Kavi Philippines is seeking a data scientist to join our AI & Data Science team in the Philippines. You will analyze data, build models, and contribute to LLM-powered workflows using RAG pipelines. The role emphasizes hands-on data processing, NLP, and agentic AI concepts in real-world applications.

You will collaborate with senior team members to implement retrieval-based knowledge systems, vector stores, and dashboards while growing your skills in a fast-paced healthcare BPO environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, CS, Statistics, Engineering or related field
• 1-2 years of relevant experience
• Hands-on experience writing and optimizing SQL queries
• Strong Python programming with pandas, numpy, scikit-learn
• Fundamental NLP and LLM knowledge
• Exposure to Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and vector stores
• Experience with LangChain or LlamaIndex
• Familiar with OpenAI API and Hugging Face Transformers
• Knowledge of agentic AI systems and task automation

We are lookingfor a driven and curious Data Scientist to join our growing AI & DataScience team. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding ofdata analysis and machine learning, with a strong interest in emerging AIparadigms such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and agentic AI systems.This role provides an exciting opportunity to work on real-world applicationsof LLMs and support the development of intelligent, task-oriented agents.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean, transform, and analyze data (structured and unstructured) fromdiverse sources.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to identify actionable insights.
• Support the development and evaluation of traditional and deep learningmodels.
• Assist in integrating LLMs into workflows using RAG pipelines.
• Collaborate with senior team members to build and refine agentic AIsystems for task automation.

Must Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics,Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience
• Hands-on experience writing and optimizing SQL queries
• Strong programming proficiency in Python, including experience withlibraries like pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, and either LangChain or LlamaIndex.
• Fundamental understanding of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and large language models (LLMs).
• A strong passion for advancements in Artificial Intelligence and acommitment to ongoing learning.
• Exposure to Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures,including vector databases like FAISS, Chroma, or Pinecone.
• Familiarity with LLM frameworks, such as the OpenAI API and Hugging FaceTransformers.
• Knowledge of agentic AI systems, including taskplanning and autonomous agents

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and version controlsystems (Git).
