About the role
Our client is seeking a Junior Credit Controller to join their dynamic team on a full-time basis in Cebu, Central Visayas. In this role, you will support the credit control function, assisting in the management of credit portfolios, customer accounts, and ensuring compliance with credit policies and procedures. Key responsibilities
- Monitor and manage customer accounts to ensure timely payment of invoices and credit obligations
- Process credit applications and conduct initial credit assessments in accordance with company policies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date credit records and documentation
- Follow up with customers regarding outstanding payments and arrears through calls, emails and written correspondence
- Prepare credit reports and statements for management review
- Assist in the recovery of overdue accounts and coordinate with customers on payment arrangements
- Support the credit team in day-to-day administrative tasks and data entry activities
- Liaise with sales, operations and finance teams to resolve credit-related issues
- Ensure compliance with credit policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to the improvement of credit control processes and procedures
What we're looking for
- Tertiary education qualification in accounting, finance or a related field is a must
- 1-2 years of experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or a related financial services role
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data and records
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Customer service orientation with the ability to communicate professionally with clients
- Understanding of basic accounting principles and credit management concepts
- Willingness to learn and develop within a banking and financial services environment
- Strong ethical standards and commitment to confidentiality
