Job summary

Strategic Networks, Inc. seeks a Backup Administrator to monitor daily backup jobs across the client environment and act quickly on failures or warnings. You will troubleshoot and resolve backup and recovery issues, escalating where needed and ensuring resolution.

Responsibilities include meeting backup SLAs, building reporting on job status and capacity, performing restores, and validating recoverability. On-site reporting in Pasay City 2–3 times per week is required to maintain auditable

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with backup technologies in a production environment.
• Solid grasp of backup and recovery concepts — scheduling, retention, restores, and troubleshooting failed jobs.
• Strong problem-solving instincts and the discipline to consistently meet SLAs.
• Good communication skills for working directly with a client on-site.
• Willingness and ability to report onsite in Pasay City 2–3 times per week.
• Advantage: Hands-on experience with Commvault or VMware virtualization.
• Exposure to enterprise storage or relevant industry certifications.

• Troubleshoot and resolve backup and recovery issues, escalating where needed and seeing them through to resolution.
• Ensure backup success-rate SLAs are consistently met and drive improvements where performance falls short.
• Build and maintain backup reporting — job status, success rates, capacity, and SLA compliance.
• Perform restores and recovery testing to validate data recoverability.
• Document procedures, incidents, and resolutions to keep the environment well-run and auditable.
