Job Summary
The Junior Architect provides architectural and administrative support by preparing and maintaining drawings, developing design plans, coordinating documentation, and assisting the production team in delivering projects accurately and on time.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
A. Architectural Design & Drafting
- Convert provided plans, dimensions, and image into accurate as-built drawings.
- Interpret verbal and minimal client direction to develop proposed design plans.
- Communicate and clarify design intent when information is incomplete.
- Provide detailed drawings based on the approved initial layout.
- Maintain drawing standards and organized project files.
- Collaborate with the production team to meet client deadlines.
B. Administrative & Documentation Support
- Assist in day-to-day administrative and clerical tasks.
- Prepare, organize, and maintain physical and electronic files and records.
- Help prepare meeting materials, minutes, and presentations.
- Encode, update, and verify data in department records.
- Coordinate with different departments regarding administrative requirements.
- Assist in preparing reports, letters, memos, and other business documents.
- Assist in document routing, filing, and records management.
- Perform photocopying, scanning, printing, and document reproduction tasks.
C. Permits & Regulatory Documentation
- Assist in processing permits, applications, and other regulatory documents when required.
- Coordinate with relevant departments regarding required permits and regulatory documentation.
D. Office & Operational Support
- Schedule meetings, appointments, and coordinate office activities.
- Support procurement and inventory monitoring of office supplies.
- Provide general office support and perform other tasks assigned by supervisors.
- And any duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Education Background
- Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Architecture.
Work Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of working experience.
Qualifications / Skills / Training Needed
- Proficient in AutoCAD (required).
- Familiarity with SketchUp, V-Ray, and Enscape is a strong plus.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to fill in gaps from limited information.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and manage time-sensitive deliverables.
- Preferably a Licensed Architect, but not required.
