Job summary

Institutional Shareholder Services Philippines is seeking a detail‑oriented analyst to gather and analyze financial regulatory documents from SEC Edgar and regional sources. You will build a document library, verify calculations, and support data quality assurance for client reports.

You will collaborate with teams in the Philippines and the U.S., tag mutual fund strategies, and contribute to weekly newsletters and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Management, Finance, Business, or closely related field.
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting, follow-through, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively and strategically in a cross-border, multi-cultural team environment.
• Experience working with financial data gathering and analysis for at least one year is a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Excel for financial data manipulation and preparation is preferred.
• Familiarity with annual reports and board reporting (15c, AoV) is advantageous.
• Knowledge of mutual fund fee structures is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Utilize SEC Edgar and other regional regulatory websites, mutual fund company websites, and the Internet to gather financial regulatory documents.
• Collect financial regulatory documents of open-end, closed-end, and variable annuity mutual funds and ETFs for a document library and further analysis.
• Read through collected financial regulatory documents to capture key industry data and input it into a proprietary system.
• Verify calculations done by the proprietary system before release to client-facing applications and research reports.
• Conduct data quality assurance by identifying and analyzing data quality issues.
• Collaborate with team members in the Philippines and the U.S. to deliver mutual fund and ETF data to clients on a timely basis.
• Cross-train and expand opportunities to work on various related research responsibilities.
• Read and understand mutual fund investment strategies and objectives to properly tag them for client-facing applications.
• Determine relevant industry changes and summarize findings in a weekly newsletter.
• Create and update documentation of work processes and maintain institutional knowledge in a centralized, web-based database.
• Support process improvements and technology projects by contributing to specifications and testing deliverables.
• Perform special projects as assigned.
• Keep up to date on financial industry news and market trends.

About You

Compensation & Benefits

• Permanent late dayshift schedule (12nn-9pm Manila Time) based in Makati City.
• Hybrid working arrangement with at least 3 days onsite per week after 3-6 months of onsite training.
