Job summary

WHR Global Consulting in Pasig is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join our Finance team. The role focuses on fund accounting within our brokerage operations and requires CPA licensure with 5–7 years of accounting experience.

On-site position based in Pasig, Philippines. The ideal candidate will manage financial reporting, tracking investments, calculating fees, and ensuring accurate recognition of income and expenses while supporting tax compliance and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required and CPA license is essential.
• Minimum 5–7 years of working knowledge in accounting principles and practices, with prior fund accounting experience in a brokerage or mutual fund firm.
• Auditing firm experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of banking and financial services industries and asset management products is beneficial.
• Familiarity with trading systems (PSEConnect, Bloomberg, etc.) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial reports and maintain accuracy of records.
• Monitor investments and balance sheets.
• Calculate management fees and incentive fees.
• Ensure income and expenses are correctly recognized and accrued.
• Prepare reconciliations including Broker, Custodian and Bank reconciliations.
• Review BIR Tax Returns and identify tax-saving opportunities.
• Identify risks and provide improvement recommendations.

Job Description

We are seeking to add top talents to join our high-performing and growing Accounting and Finance Team. This position will play a critical role as we expand our brokerage business, tap to new markets and provide innovative avenues for securities trading in the Philippines.

Key responsibilities

• Preparation of financial reports, including but not limited to;
• Monitor movement and balance of investments, including:
• Calculate management fees and incentive fees.
• Ensure that all income and expense items are recognized/accrued on the appropriate period.
• Prepares different kinds of reconciliation, including Broker, Custodian and Bank reconciliation
• Assess compliance with accounting principles and BIR regulations.
• Review of BIR Tax Returns to save on taxes and avoid errors that may lead to BIR assessments.
• Identify potential risks and providing recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting with CPA license is a must.
• With at least five to seven (5-7) years working knowledge in accounting principles and practices and with prior work experience in fund accounting in a brokerage/mutual fund firm is must.
• Prior work experience in an auditing firm is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of the banking and financial services industries and asset management products is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of trust and investment regulations and asset management industry trends is an added advantage.
• Has proficiency in MS Office and SFI software (WinStockSS.Net).
• Familiarity with trading systems (PSEConnect,Bloomberg, etc.) is an added advantage.
• Strong attention to details, can multitask and prioritize deadline.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
