Job summary

Security Bank Corporation is hiring a Junior Accounting Analyst to perform period-end closing on the Bank’s ledgers and financial reporting systems, and to reconcile subledgers against the general ledger.

You will handle postings in Oracle fixed assets and accounts receivables, assist in data quality improvements, and provide variance analysis for selected expense accounts to support regulators and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking or related field.

Responsibilities

• Performs posting of transactions in Oracle fixed assets/accounts receivables, and journal entries in general ledger.
• Processes conversion of ERP GL entries to FBEQ entries then endorses to Junior Accounting Officer to request posting in FBEQ.
• Develops understanding and compliance with relevant laws, legislation, standards (accounting/tax etc.) affecting own transactions processed by supporting the team in delivering timely and accurate schedules and reports to regulators, BSP and SEC, among others.
• Identifies operational and accounting issues and escalates or resolves where appropriate through reconciliation of the Bank’s selected regulatory ledger against transaction subledgers.
