Job summary

Continent 8 in Manila is seeking a Junior Accountant to join our expanding finance team on a permanent basis. You will handle local tax compliance and financial reporting, supporting the Senior Accountant and ensuring accurate records.

The role covers accounts payable/receivable, month-end close, VAT/EWT filings, and liaison with BIR. Strong Excel skills and knowledge of Philippine tax laws are essential; experience with Sage Intacct or Yooz is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a similar accounting role with Philippine tax knowledge.
• Accounting qualification required.
• Experience with Sage Intacct or Yooz preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining accurate books and preparing monthly journal entries and reconciliations.
• Conduct regular bank reconciliations and ensure internal controls.
• Assist in month-end and year-end financial statements and reporting.
• Prepare and file VAT, EWT, FWT, and other local taxes with BIR.
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow forecasting.
