Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Food Service Management, Nutrition, or a related field is required.
• Experience in inflight services, catering operations, food service management, menu planning, or a related field is an advantage.
• Knowledge of menu planning, food production, food service operations, and cost management principles.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing inflight meal standards, menus, and service programs.
• Support menu planning, research, benchmarking, and product evaluations.
• Coordinate with catering providers and internal teams to execute meal programs.
• Monitor meal quality and service performance; analyze customer feedback.
• Assist in meal budget prep, cost monitoring, and catering reporting.
• Prepare menu information and communication materials for operations.

The Jr Specialist, Food Planning & Standards will continuously support the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of inflight meal programs and food service standards for assigned routes. The role works closely with catering service providers and internal stakeholders to help ensure meal offerings are delivered in accordance with service standards, budget parameters, and customer expectations.

Who Are We Looking For?

• Bachelor's Degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Food Service Management, Nutrition, or a related field.
• Experience in inflight services, catering operations, food service management, menu planning, or a related field is an advantage.
• Knowledge of menu planning, food production, food service operations, and cost management principles.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Major Responsibility Areas

• Assist in the development and implementation of inflight meal standards, menu offerings, and food service programs for assigned routes.
• Support menu planning, food research, benchmarking, product evaluations, and menu development initiatives.
• Coordinate with catering service providers and internal stakeholders to support effective execution of meal service requirements and menu programs.
• Monitor meal quality, service performance, operational feedback, and customer insights to support continuous improvement of inflight meal offerings.
• Assist in meal budget preparation, cost monitoring, and catering performance reporting.
• Prepare and maintain menu-related information, service references, and communication materials for operational and customer use.
