Job summary

Talent Map Global BPO, Inc. seeks a versatile Journeyman Software Engineer to develop, test, and maintain software with GCC and ASCENT teams. You will work across backend, frontend, integration, and data-processing areas using Python, React, and Azure-based tooling.

The role emphasizes secure coding, API integrations, and automation with modern tooling, while supporting build, deployment, and monitoring activities in a cross-border environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computing fields.
• 3+ years of professional software development, integration, testing, or platform-engineering.
• Experience with LangGraph, MCP tool development, prompt orchestration, or AI tool-calling frameworks.
• Frontend development experience using React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS with accessibility knowledge.
• Experience creating API integrations with auth, retry, error handling, and rate limits.
• Experience processing documents and data using Python libraries, XML, and SQL.
• Knowledge of Azure, GitLab CI, Docker, IaC, and application monitoring.
• Proficiency with Git-based workflows, automated testing, peer reviews, and debugging.
• Understanding secure software development, credential protection, dependency management, and container security.
• Strong written and verbal English; ability to collaborate across Philippine- and U.S.-based teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, troubleshoot, and maintain secure software per ASCENT requirements and standards.
• Build Python backend and agent capabilities using LangGraph, MCP tools, and Pydantic schemas.
• Develop accessible frontend interfaces using React/TypeScript and automated tests.
• Create reusable adapters for Microsoft Graph, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, Jira REST APIs, and GitLab APIs.
• Develop data processing capabilities for Excel, Word, PDF, MS Project, XML, and SQL data.
• Support build, deployment, security, and monitoring with Azure CLI, GitLab CI YAML, Docker, Bash/PowerShell, ARM/Bicep, and Azure Monitor.
• Create automated tests, participate in code reviews, resolve defects, and ensure work is ready for ASCENT review.
• Follow security, data-handling, review, and promotion controls; escalate unclear requirements and security concerns with GCC/ASCENT teams.

About the role

A versatile Journeyman Software Engineer with experience across backend, frontend, integration, data-processing, and platform technologies. You will develop, test, integrate, and maintain software in close coordination with GCC colleagues and members of the U.S.-based ASCENT team. You will contribute primarily within one or more software specialization areas while supporting adjacent technical work as project needs evolve.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test, troubleshoot, and maintain secure software in accordance with ASCENT-established requirements, architecture, interfaces, engineering standards, and development practices.

• Build Python-based backend and agent capabilities using LangGraph nodes, MCP tools, Pydantic schemas, prompt orchestration, and AI tool-calling frameworks.

• Develop accessible user interfaces using React, TypeScript, Vite, Tailwind CSS, HTML, and CSS, with automated testing using Vitest or similar tools.

• Create reusable service adapters for Microsoft Graph and Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, Jira REST APIs, and GitLab APIs, incorporating authentication, retry, error-handling, and rate-limiting patterns.

• Develop capabilities for processing Excel, Word, PDF, Microsoft Project, XML, and SQL-based data using tools such as openpyxl, python-docx, and approved extraction libraries.

• Support application build, deployment, security, and monitoring activities using Azure CLI, GitLab CI YAML, Docker and image-hardening practices, Bash, PowerShell, ARM/Bicep, Azure Monitor, and KQL.

• Create automated tests, participate in code reviews, resolve defects, and ensure assigned work is complete, tested, documented, traceable, and prepared for ASCENT review and promotion.

• Follow established technical, security, data-handling, review, and promotion controls. Promptly elevate unclear requirements, unresolved decisions, security concerns, access limitations, and proposed deviations while collaborating with GCC and U.S.-based ASCENT team members.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, computer engineering, artificial intelligence, or a related discipline, with equivalent relevant experience considered in place of a degree.

• Three or more years of professional software development, integration, testing, or platform-engineering experience.

• Experience with LangGraph, MCP tool development, prompt orchestration, or AI tool-calling frameworks.

• Experience developing and testing frontend applications using React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS, with knowledge of accessibility practices.

• Experience creating API integrations that incorporate authentication, retry, error-handling, and rate-limiting controls.

• Experience processing documents and structured data using Python libraries, XML, and SQL.

• Working knowledge of Azure, GitLab CI, Docker, scripting, infrastructure as code, and application monitoring.

• Proficiency with Git-based workflows, automated testing, peer code reviews, and software troubleshooting.

• Understanding of secure software development, credential protection, dependency management, container security, and controlled data handling.

• Strong written and verbal English communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with Philippine- and U.S.-based team members.
