Job summary

• Assigns jobs to technicians and explains the work required.
• Supervises technicians to ensure that customers’ needs are met and vehicles are fixed right the first time.
• Coaches and trains technicians.
• Plans and manages inventory, supplies, and equipment, and oversees safety and clean up shop.
• Analyzes productivity and efficiency of technicians.
• Prepares a daily productivity and efficiency report to be submitted to the Service Manager.
• Monitors flow of work in the service department and intervenes as needed to ensure work is accomplished.
