Job summary

FPT Software in Cebu IT Park is seeking an experienced Java Developer for a hybrid, dayshift role. You will handle unit testing, requirements gathering, and functional specs, while integrating with third-party libraries and customer collaboration. Strong Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and Docker skills are required.

Experience with GWT is a plus. The role involves code review, defensive coding, and SQL querying across multiple tables, with opportunities to contribute to project standards and test

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Java Developer.
• Proficient in Spring Boot and Hibernate.
• Experience with JUnit, RESTful Web Services, and Docker.
• Proficient with Git and SVN version control.
• Experience with GWT is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform unit and integration testing to ensure quality.
• Gather requirements and create/update functional specs.
• Collaborate with customers and third-party libraries/APIs.

Job Responsibilities

• Unit testing
• Requirements gathering
• Functional specs creation/update
• Bug fixing
• Scratch development
• Third-party library/Api integration
• Direct Customer collaboration
• Printer/Device experience is a plus
• Collaborate in the establishment of project standards for designs and code
• Apply defensive coding practices
• Review code of colleagues and more junior developers
• Understands version control best practices and patterns
• Work with testers in identifying key areas of risk and describing the corresponding test scenarios
• Write expressive and well-analyzed automated unit and integration tests if necessary
• Assist testers in the creation of test environments, and end-to-end test automation if necessary
• Perform manual tests as needed
• Writes efficient SQL queries, using appropriate JOINs to fetch data across multiple tables

Job Qualifications

Must Have Skill(s):

• At least 5 years of working experience as a Java Developer.
• Framework (Spring Boot, Hibernate)
• Testing tools(Junit), Restful Web Service, Docker
• Proficient in using GIT, SVN.
• Experience with GWT.

Good to Have Skill(s):

• Working experience on Printer Software
• Knowledgeable and experience in Agile practice
