Job summary

HRTX in the Philippines is seeking a Java Developer who is bilingual in Japanese to join our software team. You will participate in design, coding, testing and support for Java Web (J2EE) applications and REST services to support client projects.

The role requires at least 1 year of hands-on Java development, plus experience with Vue.js and DB2 SQL. Strong Japanese communication skills (reading, writing, speaking, listening) are essential, with flexibility for day/evening shifts at IBM Quezon

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• At least 1 year of Java Web (J2EE) and REST Web Service experience.
• Experience with Vue.js and DB2 SQL (DB SQL).
• Proficiency in Japanese (reading, writing, speaking, listening) – N1–N3 preferred.
• Amenable to work on a client-based schedule (days/evening/night shift) at IBM locations in Quezon City (Eastwood and/or UP Ayala Technohub) or Cebu.

About the job Java Developer - Japanese Bilingual

As a Software Developer you'll participate in many aspects of the software development lifecycle, such as design, code implementation, testing, and support. You will create software that enables your clients' hybrid-cloud and AI journeys.

You'll have the opportunity to work with the latest technologies, ensuring the applications delivered are high performing, highly available, responsive, and maintainable.

Your primary responsibilities include:

• Analytical Problem-Solving and Solution Enhancement: Analyze, validate and propose improvements to existing failures, with the support of the architect and technical leader.
• Comprehensive Engagement Across Process Phases: Involvement in every step of the process, from design, development, testing release changes and troubleshoot where necessary, providing a great customer service.
• Strategic Stakeholder Engagement and Innovative Coding Solutions: Drive key discussions with your stakeholders and analyze the current landscape for opportunities to operate and code creative solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree
• At least 1 year solid experience in application development using Java Web (J2EE) and REST Web Service
• Experience in Vue.JS, DB SQL (DB2)
• Proficient in Japanese Language - reading, writing, speaking, listening. (Open to N1-N5 Japanese Language Proficiency Level but preferably N1-N3)
• Amenable to work on a client-based schedule (dayshift, mid-shift, night-shift) and in any IBM location in Quezon City (Eastwood and/or UP Ayala Technohub) or Cebu.
