Job summary

HRTX in the Philippines is seeking a Java Developer who is bilingual in Japanese to join our software team. You will participate in design, coding, testing and support for Java Web (J2EE) applications and REST services to support client projects.

The role requires at least 1 year of hands-on Java development, plus experience with Vue.js and DB2 SQL. Strong Japanese communication skills (reading, writing, speaking, listening) are essential, with flexibility for day/evening shifts at IBM Quezon

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• At least 1 year of Java Web (J2EE) and REST Web Service experience.
• Experience with Vue.js and DB2 SQL (DB SQL).
• Proficiency in Japanese (reading, writing, speaking, listening) – N1–N3 preferred.
• Amenable to work on a client-based schedule (days/evening/night shift) at IBM locations in Quezon City (Eastwood and/or UP Ayala Technohub) or Cebu.

• Analytical problem-solving and solution enhancements with support from the architect and technical leader.
• Comprehensive engagement across all process phases: from design, development, testing, release changes and troubleshooting with great customer service.
• Strategic stakeholder engagement and innovative coding solutions: drive discussions and analyze opportunities for creative solutions.
