Job summary

IBM Philippines is seeking an Application Developer: Cloud FullStack to design, develop, and deploy cloud-based applications using microservices, integrating front‑end, back‑end, and middleware components.

You will work with Angular, React, CSS3, HTML5, Java, JEE, Spring, Hibernate, Groovy, REST/SOA services, APIGEE, API Connect, and NoSQL/RDBMS databases to deliver secure, scalable cloud solutions while applying DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in designing and deploying cloud-based applications using microservices.
• Frontend and backend technologies including Angular, React, CSS3, and HTML5, Java, JEE, Spring, Hibernate, Groovy.
• Experience with DevOps methodologies and cloud environments focusing on uptime and security.
• Willingness to work at IBM locations in Quezon City or Cebu and accommodate client-shift schedules.

Responsibilities

Your Role And Responsibilities

As an Application Developer: Cloud FullStack, you will develop and deploy cloud-based applications using microservices design patterns, integrating front‑end, back‑end, and middleware components. You will utilize expertise in multiple layers of application development to deliver efficient and secure cloud-based solutions.

Your Primary Responsibilities Will Include

• Design and Develop Applications: Develop and deploy cloud-based applications using microservices design patterns, integrating front‑end, back‑end, and middleware components, and persisting data in NoSQL or RDBMS databases.
• Apply DevOps Methodologies: Utilize DevOps methodologies and tools to ensure efficient development, testing, and deployment of cloud-based applications.
• Collaborate on Cloud Environments: Work with senior level practitioners to design, build, and maintain cloud environments, focusing on uptime, access, control, and network security using automation and configuration management tools.
• Integrate Multiple Technologies: Integrate multiple technologies, including Angular, React, CSS3, HTML5, Java, JEE, Spring, Hibernate, Groovy, REST/SOA services, APIGEE, API Connect, and NoSQL/RDBMS databases, to deliver comprehensive cloud-based solutions.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

• Cloud Application Development: Exposure to developing and deploying cloud-based applications using microservices design patterns, integrating front‑end, back‑end, and middleware components, and persisting data in NoSQL or RDBMS databases.
• Multi-Layered Application Development: Experience working with multiple layers of application development, including front‑end technologies such as Angular, React, CSS3, and HTML5, and back‑end technologies such as Java, JEE, Spring, Hibernate, and Groovy.
• DevOps Methodologies: Exposure to utilizing DevOps methodologies and tools to ensure efficient development, testing, and deployment of cloud-based applications.
• Cloud Environment Maintenance: Experience working with cloud environments, focusing on uptime, access, control, and network security using automation and configuration management tools.
• Technology Integration: Exposure to integrating multiple technologies, including REST/SOA services, APIGEE, API Connect, and NoSQL/RDBMS databases, to deliver comprehensive cloud-based solutions.
• Open to work in any of IBM locations (Quezon City, Cebu).
• Should be amenable to work on a client dictated shift (day, mid, night).

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

• Cloud Security Knowledge: Exposure to implementing cloud security measures, including network security and access control, to ensure the integrity of cloud-based applications.
• Advanced DevOps Tools: Experience working with advanced DevOps tools and methodologies to optimize the development, testing, and deployment of cloud-based applications.
• Multi-Cloud Environments: Exposure to designing, building, and maintaining multi-cloud environments, focusing on uptime, scalability, and automation.
