Job summary

UNISON Group in Manila is seeking a skilled Backend Java developer to design, implement, and maintain backend services with Core Java and Spring Boot. You will collaborate with front-end and back-end teams to deliver robust RESTful and streaming APIs, participate in peer reviews, and contribute to automated deployment and testing processes.

The role requires working with Linux, shell scripting, and DevOps tools; familiarity with Jira/Confluence and Bitbucket is advantageous.

• Handle code deployments and releases with a focus on automation and CI/CD.

• Develop and maintain backend applications usingCore JAVA, SpringBoot, restful and streaming based Api servers.
• Collaborate closely with other back-end developers to implement seamlessclient-server API interactionson the Web UI. Also, participate inpeer code and design reviewsto ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Work alongsideBusiness AnalystsandProject Managersto translate requirements into functional features.
• Handlecode deployments, releases, and other operational tasks on a rotational basis, with a strong emphasis onautomation and continuous improvementof the build and deployment processes.
• Strong proficiency in modern Java and unit and integration testing frameworks (Junit etc)
• Familiarity with agent-based coding assistant tools is a plus.
• Comfortable using tools such asBitbucket (Git),Jira, andConfluence.
• Experience in Linux, shell scripting etc, security ascepts , SQL based Databases.
• DevOps (Bitbucket, Jenkins, SonarQube, VeraCode, Artifactory)
• Ability to adapt to evolving requirements and work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
• Financial domain experience is optional, but a strong willingness to learn is essential.
