This role is based in Iloilo City.

THE ROLE

We are looking for an IT Systems Engineer to join our team delivering Message Handling (MHS) and Aeronautical Information Management (AIM) systems.

In this role, you will work across system deployment, integration, and service support—ensuring that complex IT infrastructures and applications are reliable, secure, and operationally ready.

You will collaborate closely with customers, project teams, and cross-functional engineering teams including system engineers, software developers, and project managers.

You will work with integrated platforms combining Linux-based systems, virtualization, networking, and cybersecurity technologies to deliver advanced aeronautical information and messaging solutions, ensuring secure and reliable operations throughout the full system lifecycle.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support system installation, configuration, integration, and commissioning

• Configure and support Linux-based systems, virtualization platforms and network environments during testing, and deployment phases

• Integrate systems with third-party platforms and interfaces

• Apply cybersecurity best practices to ensure secure system operations

• Implement system upgrades, patches, and configuration changes

• Support testing activities (FAT, SAT, and commissioning)

• Create and maintain technical documentation and procedures

• Conduct operational and technical training to customers and end-users

• Manage Helpdesk/ITSM service tickets and provide 2nd and 3rd level remote and on-call technical support in line with SLA requirements.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in mission-critical ATM systems (including root-cause analysis)

• Develop basic automation scripts (Bash/Python)

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Intermediate knowledge of:

  • Linux Administration

  • Networking (TCP/IP, routing, VLANs, firewalls)

  • Virtualization technologies (VMware or similar)

• Basic knowledge of:

  • Database management and SQL

  • Automation and Scripting (Bash or Python)

  • Technical writing and documentation skills

• Nice to have:

  • REST APIs and XML integrations

  • Cybersecurity and system hardening

  • Experience in IT infrastructure environments

  • Experience in using ITSM, JAMA, JIRA tools
