Gladex Travel and Tours Corp. is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager for a project-based engagement in the Philippines. You will oversee IT initiatives from planning to completion, coordinating cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure milestones are met.

The role requires strong Agile expertise, experience running sprints, and excellent communication. Compensation is milestone-based and paid upon completion. This position is office-based in Metro Manila.

IT Project Manager (Project-Based)

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to oversee technology-related projects from planning through completion. The ideal candidate is highly organized, experienced in Agile project management, and capable of creating structured workflows, coordinating cross-functional teams, monitoring project progress, and ensuring milestones are completed on schedule.

This is a project-based engagement, with compensation released upon the successful completion and approval of agreed project milestones.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and oversee IT projects from initiation to completion.

• Create and maintain project workflows, timelines, processes, and deliverables.

• Break down project requirements into manageable tasks and milestone-based deliverables.

• Plan and facilitate weekly sprint planning sessions.

• Conduct daily Scrum meetings to review:

• Completed tasks

• Current work in progress

• Blockers and issues

• Next action items

• Monitor project progress and ensure milestones are delivered on time.

• Coordinate with developers, designers, QA testers, clients, and other stakeholders.

• Track project tasks using project management platforms such as Jira, Trello, ClickUp, Asana, Monday.com, Notion, or similar tools.

• Identify project risks, issues, and bottlenecks, and recommend appropriate solutions.

• Ensure all team members understand their assigned tasks, priorities, and deadlines.

• Prepare weekly project status reports and progress updates.

• Review completed deliverables before milestone approval.

• Ensure project outputs meet the agreed scope, quality standards, and timelines.

• Manage scope changes and communicate any impact on project timelines or costs.

• Maintain complete and organized project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, Project Coordinator, Scrum Master, or similar role.

• Strong understanding of IT project workflows and software development life cycles.

• Experience creating:

• Project workflows

• Task breakdown structures

• Sprint plans

• Milestone schedules

• Experience leading daily Scrum meetings and weekly sprint planning sessions.

• Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to monitor project progress and proactively follow up with team members.

• Hands-on experience using one or more of the following:

• Jira

• Trello

• ClickUp

• Asana

• Monday.com

• Notion

• Basic understanding of:

• Software development

• Web development

• APIs

• Databases

• System implementation

• Ability to work independently in a project-based environment.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Compensation Structure

• This is a project-based position.

• Compensation will be based on agreed project milestones.

• Each milestone must be completed, reviewed, and formally approved before payment is released.

• Milestone scope, timelines, deliverables, and payment amounts will be finalized before project commencement.
