Job summary

Octal Philippines Inc. seeks an IT Project Manager to lead and drive multiple projects to successful completion.

You will coordinate internal teams and external vendors, defining scope, creating plans, and tracking progress to ensure on-time delivery within budget. The role requires 2-3 years of IT project management experience, a bachelor’s degree, and willingness to work onsite in Global City/Quezon City.

Responsibilities

• Ensure projects are delivered on-time, within scope and budget.
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for flawless execution.
• Assist in definition of project scope and objectives with stakeholders.
• Develop comprehensive project plans for clients and staff, monitor progress.
• Ensure resource availability and allocation.
• Provide regular project status updates to IT management and stakeholders.
• Report and escalate project issues as needed.
• Manage changes to scope, schedule, and costs with verification techniques.
• Track project performance to analyze completion of short and long-term goals.
• Manage client and stakeholder relationships.
• Perform risk management to minimize project risk.
• Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
• Create and maintain project documentation and transition documents.
• Meet with clients to take briefs and clarify requirements.
• Delegate tasks based on team strengths and experience.
• Meet budgetary objectives and monitor project spend.
• Develop leadership skills and attend required trainings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job description

• 1. Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
• 2. Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
• 3. Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
• 4. Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members and to monitor and track progress.
• 5. Ensure resource availability and allocation.
• 6. Prepare and present regular project status updates to IT management and project stakeholders.
• 7. Report and elevate project issues to management as needed.
• 8. Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
• 9. Track project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
• 10. Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
• 11. Perform risk management to minimize project risk.
• 12. Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
• 13. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, and sign off/transition documents from Project to Business As Usual.
• 14. Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project.
• 15. Delegate project tasks based on junior staff members’ individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels.
• 16. Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis. Monitors Project Cost and spend based on Project Overall Budget.
• 17. Use and continually develop leadership skills.
• 18. Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency.
• 19. Perform other related duties as assigned by immediate superior. Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs.

• 1. Minimum of 2-3 years experience handling IT Project Management.
• 2. Bachelor’s degree required; a degree in a computer-related field is a significant advantage.
• 3. Organized, collaborative, and results-oriented.
• 4. Willing to work ONSITE (Global City/ Quezon City)
• 5. Standard working hours (8:00AM-5:00PM) apply, but amenable to a flexible schedule and overtime as dictated by business requirements.
