Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking an IT Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day IT infrastructure, services and support. This role leads operations teams, ensuring stability, security and high availability across servers, networks and applications.

You will implement ITIL processes, manage incidents and changes, coordinate with stakeholders, and drive disaster recovery planning while aligning IT operations with business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS or related field.
• 5+ years of IT operations or infrastructure support.
• 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, systems and cloud platforms.
• Experience with ITIL processes and service management frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily IT operations, including servers, networks, applications, and end-user support.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of IT systems and services.
• Lead and mentor IT operations, service desk, and support teams.
• Monitor system performance and proactively resolve incidents and problems.
• Implement and maintain IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Coordinate incident, problem, and change management processes.
• Ensure compliance with security standards, data protection, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage vendor relationships and third-party service providers.
• Prepare operational reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
• Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and backup strategies.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align IT operations with business needs.
