Hammerjack Pty Ltd seeks a highly skilled SOC Technical Manager to lead security operations, monitor, analyze, and respond to incidents, and drive proactive measures to safeguard critical assets. You will oversee detection, containment, and remediation efforts across the organization.

The role requires expert threat hunting, incident response, SIEM governance, and security automation, with a focus on mentoring L1/L2 analysts and sharing threat intelligence to strengthen defenses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in security operations or a related field.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and security architectures.
• Expertise in firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and SIEM.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or SANS certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Proactively hunt for threats and indicators of compromise within the network environment.
• Develop and implement advanced threat hunting strategies and techniques.
• Analyze security events and logs to identify potential incidents.
• Conduct in-depth investigations of security incidents and coordinate response.
• Develop and implement incident response plans and procedures.
• Mentor L1/L2 analysts and contribute to threat landscape reports.
