Job summary

Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) seeks an Information Technology Officer I in the Regional Operations Division, TESDA NIR, to direct IT programs and oversee system development across the agency.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with two years of relevant experience, plus 8 hours of training and professional eligibility. The candidate should demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills in a dynamic government environment.

• Career Service (Professional)/Second Level Eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Directs, supervises and coordinates the programs and activities of the division.
• Provides leadership in the successful implementation of Information Technology throughout the TESDA organization.
• Maintains quality assurance of the applications systems development.
• Consults with Management to determine its information requirements, the boundaries and priorities of new projects, and to discuss system capacity and equipment acquisitions.
• Confers with Heads of Operating Units involved with proposed projects to ensure cooperation and further define nature of project.
• Supervises and provides technical leadership for the applications programming and software support staff, including responsibility for hiring and evaluation.
• Provides agency-wide direction in areas of policy and planning for management information systems data processing and related functions.
• Oversees in IT function by working with TESDA COROPOTI Units on their long-range plans and establishes priorities to guide the allocation of IT resources; and
• Performs other related functions as maybe authorized.
