Job summary

TESDA is seeking an IT/Programmer to develop, maintain, and improve computer programs and digital systems for the TESDA ROMO-ROMD.

You will build web-based applications, modify databases, create automated tools, and provide troubleshooting and technical support.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in IT/CS, demonstrates strong programming skills, and can work independently with multiple tasks. Knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, Python, HTML/CSS is preferred.

About the role

The IT/Programmer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving computer programs, applications, and digital systems that support the operational and administrative requirements of the TESDA Regional Operations Management Office – Regional Operations Management Division (ROMO-ROMD).

Key responsibilities

• Develop, code, test, debug, and maintain web-based applications, systems, and other digital tools required by the Office.
• Create and modify programs, databases, and system features based on operational requirements.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing applications, systems, and other IT-related concerns.
• Develop automated tools, reports, dashboards, and other digital solutions to improve office processes and data management.
• Maintain, update, and enhance existing programs and systems to ensure functionality, reliability, and efficiency.
• Assist in data processing, system integration, and database management.
• Coordinate with concerned personnel in identifying system requirements and translating them into functional IT solutions.
• Prepare basic technical documentation, system specifications, and user guides when necessary.
• Perform other IT-related tasks and assignments as may be required by the Office.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related fields.
• Strong programming and coding skills.
• Knowledge of web development, databases, and software/application development is an advantage.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as PHP, JavaScript, Python, HTML/CSS, or similar technologies is preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical and programming-related problems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge or experience in hosting, event facilitation, or public speaking is an advantage.
• Pleasant personality, good communication skills, and professional demeanor.
