Job summary

Vikings Group of Companies is seeking an IT Functional Support Associate to deliver first-line support for business systems and applications, collaborating with end-users and IT teams to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in IT/CS/IS or related fields, with 1–2 years of relevant IT support experience, and a solid understanding of ERP workflows, UAT, and documentation. Experience with Odoo is a plus, and strong analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, or any related field
• At least 1–2 years of relevant experience in IT Support, Functional Support, Application Support, Systems Support, or a similar role
• Basic understanding of business processes and system workflows
• Familiarity with system testing, troubleshooting, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and issue management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users
• Detail-oriented with good documentation habits
• Organized and able to manage multiple support tickets across different modules and branches
• Adaptable and able to work under pressure during UAT, go-live, and hypercare activities
• Exposure to ERP systems, preferably Odoo or similar platforms, is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level functional support to end-users regarding business systems and applications
• Receive, assess, troubleshoot, and coordinate the resolution of system-related concerns and issues
• Manage and monitor support tickets to ensure timely resolution and proper follow-up
• Coordinate with end-users, IT teams, vendors, and other stakeholders regarding system concerns and requirements
• Analyze reported issues and document findings, resolutions, and recommendations
• Assist in system testing, implementation, enhancements, upgrades, and deployment of new features
• Conduct and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and assist in identifying system defects or process gaps
• Assist in gathering business requirements and translating them into functional requirements
• Prepare user guides, system documentation, reports, and other related materials
• Conduct basic user orientation and provide guidance on system features and processes when necessary
