Job summary

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze business and system requirements through effective stakeholder consultations and requirements elicitation.
• Analyze end-to-end business processes and translate business needs into system requirements.
• Prepare clear technical requirements documentation for the Development team and stakeholders.
• Document requirements to promote a common understanding between business and technical teams.

• Escalate conflicting requirements to the Team Lead for resolution.

• Support project activities from requirements gathering through deployment.
• Facilitate meetings and provide project updates.

We are looking for a Business Analyst to bridge business requirements and technology solutions by understanding end-to-end business processes, gathering and analyzing requirements, and translating them into clear technical requirements for the Development team. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders, process owners, users, vendors, and technical teams to ensure requirements are properly documented, validated, and implemented. This role will also support system testing, user training, project coordination, and provide third-level solution support to system users.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements Management

• Gather and analyze business and system requirements through effective stakeholder consultations and requirements elicitation.

• Conduct comprehensive studies of end-to-end business processes to properly understand and translate business needs into system requirements.

• Analyze requirements and prepare clear and comprehensive technical requirements documentation for the Development team and other stakeholders.

• Ensure requirements are documented in a manner that promotes a common understanding among business and technical teams.

• Validate documented requirements with stakeholders and process owners to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with business needs.

• Identify and escalate conflicting requirements or issues to the Team Lead for proper resolution.

• Work closely with stakeholders throughout the requirements lifecycle to minimize ambiguity and ensure requirements are properly addressed.

Project & System Implementation Support

• Develop and implement test plans, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scripts.

• Coordinate and monitor UAT activities and track testing progress and issues.

• Support project activities and system implementation initiatives from requirements gathering through deployment.

• Facilitate meetings and presentations to provide project updates, discuss issue status, and align with process owners and stakeholders.

• Share findings, recommendations, and process-related insights to support effective system solutions.

• Coordinate with users, vendors, Development teams, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project implementation.

User Training & System Support

• Conduct user training sessions and brief orientations as needed for new or enhanced systems and processes.

• Provide guidance and support to system users to promote effective system utilization.

• Provide third-level solution support to system users and troubleshoot system-related issues.

• Resolve support tickets within the established Service Level Agreement (SLA).

• Coordinate with relevant teams and vendors in addressing complex system issues and ensuring timely resolution.

• Support users during system deployment, upgrades, and other major system changes.

Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination

• Act as a bridge between business users, process owners, vendors, and technical teams.

• Mediate and facilitate discussions among stakeholders to clarify requirements, resolve issues, and align expectations.

• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders throughout project and system support activities.

• Ensure that business requirements and user concerns are properly communicated to the appropriate technical teams.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Experience

• Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in Business Analysis, Requirements Engineering, or related IT functions.

• Candidates with experience in IT Business Analysis, Process Analysis, or Software Development are preferred.

• Experience in the shipping, logistics, or supply chain industry is an advantage.

• Experience in requirements gathering, documentation, validation, system testing, and user support is preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong requirements gathering and requirements engineering capabilities.

• Knowledge or experience as an Agile Scrum Practitioner is preferred.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

• Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills.

• Ability to translate business requirements into clear and understandable technical requirements.

• Experience in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), test planning, and system implementation support.

Additional Requirements

• Knowledge or background in Softship, Sertica, and/or NetSuite is a plus.

• Knowledge of ITIL, Project Management, or Data Analysis is an advantage.

• Willing to work in Binondo, Manila.

• May be required to work during weekends or holidays, particularly during system deployment, implementation, or upgrades.

• Willing to provide third-level system support and assist users in resolving system-related concerns.
