Job summary

Signant Health in the Philippines is seeking an IT Applications Engineer to own the day-to-day administration, configuration, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of Signant Health's core enterprise apps.

This hands-on role focuses on NetSuite, Microsoft 365, Box, and Atlassian (Jira, JSM, Confluence), with scripting, integrations, automations, and upgrades to enhance reliability and reduce manual work across the application landscape.

Qualifications

• Experience administering NetSuite, Microsoft 365, Box, and Atlassian suite.
• Proficient in integration and automation using REST APIs and low-code tools.
• Strong scripting skills (JavaScript, PowerShell or Python) for customizations.
• Experience with SaaS/cloud and on-premise application lifecycle management.

The IT Applications Engineer is a generalist engineering and support role responsible for the day-to-day administration, configuration, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of Signant Health's core business applications.

The role carries particular depth in NetSuite, Microsoft 365, Box, and Atlassian (Jira, Jira Service Management, and Confluence), while also supporting the broader enterprise application portfolio as needed. This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role that blends technical engineering configuration, scripting, integrations, automations, and upgrades with day-to-day operational support tickets, incidents, and user requests. The IT Applications Engineer is a trusted first- and second-line point of contact for application issues, and is equally comfortable delivering enhancements and automations that improve reliability and reduce manual effort across the application landscape.

Where the IT Application Operations Manager sets direction and leads the team, this role does the technical and support work directly, partnering closely with the Service Operations, Infrastructure Operations, and Security Operations teams.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES - Function Application Administration & Configuration Own day-to-day administration and configuration of NetSuite, Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint/OneDrive, Teams, Entra ID), Box, and Atlassian (Jira, JSM, Confluence), plus other assigned enterprise applications, including user provisioning, permissions, and platform settings.

Technical Support & Incident Resolution Act as a key point of escalation for tier 2/3 application support tickets, diagnosing and resolving issues across the supported application stack and coordinating with vendors and other IT teams as needed. Engineering & Customization Build and maintain customizations to meet business requirements including SuiteScript/SuiteFlow (NetSuite), Power Automate/Graph API automations (Microsoft 365), workflow and scripting configuration (Atlassian), and equivalent customizations for other supported applications.

Integrations & Automation Develop and support integrations between applications using APIs, webhooks, and low-code/iPaaS tooling, building automations that reduce manual effort and improve reliability.

Change, Release & Patch Management Plan, test, and execute upgrades, patches, and configuration changes across supported applications, minimizing disruption to the business. Security & Compliance Apply access control, licensing, and data-handling practices aligned with company security policy and relevant regulatory and quality requirements. Monitoring & Continuous Improvement Monitor application health, usage, and performance; proactively identify issues and recommend and implement improvements.

Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination Liaise with software vendors and business stakeholders on support cases, licensing, and roadmap requests for supported platforms. Documentation & Knowledge Sharing Maintain runbooks, configuration standards, and knowledge base articles; participate in knowledge transfer and cross-training to build coverage across the application portfolio. AI & Automation Adoption Identify and pilot opportunities to apply AI-assisted tooling, agents, and low-code automation to improve support efficiency and business workflows.

Roadmap Support Contribute to application-specific roadmaps for releases, improvements, and vendor-provided enhancements, in partnership with the IT Application Operations Manager.

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes Essential:

NetSuite Administration and configuration; SuiteScript 2.x and SuiteFlow; saved searches/SuiteAnalytics; SuiteTalk and REST API integrations. Microsoft 365 Administration of Exchange Online, SharePoint/OneDrive, Teams, and Entra ID (Azure AD); familiarity with Intune and the Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps). Box Content management administration, permissions and governance, and API-based integrations.

Atlassian Administration and configuration of Jira, Jira Service Management and Confluence, including workflow design and scripting (e.g., ScriptRunner). APIs & Integrations Working knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, and low-code/iPaaS tools (e.g., Power Automate, N8N, Boomi) for connecting applications. Scripting & Automation Proficiency in at least one scripting language (JavaScript, PowerShell, or Python) for customization, troubleshooting, and automation.

Application Lifecycle Management Experience with patching, upgrades, testing, and change management for SaaS/cloud and on-premise applications. Security & Compliance Awareness Understanding of access management, data protection, and relevant compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GxP where applicable). ITSM & Monitoring Tools Familiarity with ticketing/ITSM tooling (e.g., Jira Service Management) and application monitoring/observability tools.

Desirable: Clear and effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.

Good organizational and time-management skills across competing priorities. Ability to document clearly and concisely for varied audiences. Adaptability and resilience amid changing priorities and technologies.
