Job summary

Outpost Hostels is seeking a hands-on Maintenance & Facilities Supervisor to lead the maintenance operations of one island property in El Nido. You will oversee a small team and ensure guest rooms, restaurants, pools, and utility systems stay safe, functional, and guest-ready.

This leadership role combines mentoring technicians with hands-on repairs, planning preventive maintenance, coordinating contractors, and maintaining records to support smooth operations across departments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience leading a maintenance or engineering team.
• Experience in hotels, resorts, hostels, commercial buildings, hospitals, manufacturing, or facilities management.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, air-conditioning, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
• Hands-on leader who can mentor technicians while performing repairs and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and develop a team of maintenance technicians.
• Plan and implement preventive maintenance programs across the property.
• Ensure guest rooms, public areas, restaurant, bar, pool, staff housing, utilities operate efficiently.
• Perform and oversee repairs involving electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, mechanical equipment.
