Job summary

CHARLIE'S EL NIDO is seeking a proactive Housekeeping Supervisor to lead daily cleaning, ensure cleanliness standards across all rooms and public areas, and oversee rooms, linen, bathrooms, and corridors. You will manage inventory, staff schedules, training, and performance reviews, mentor new hires, and coordinate with housekeeping leadership to meet hotel quality standards and guest satisfaction.

This role is on-site in El Nido, Palawan, Philippines, with responsibilities extending to guest

Responsibilities

• To ensure standards of cleanliness, hygiene and tidiness in all rooms, corridors, function areas, public areas are maintained.
• Supervise the daily cleaning of assigned rooms, bathrooms, corridor areas and public areas to the highest standards including changing bed linen, replacing towels, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, mopping and dusting daily.
• Subject to levels of business, the Housekeeping Supervisor will be expected to also service rooms
• Ensure the upkeep of vacant rooms
• Replenish brochures and paper goods throughout the hotel
• Maintaining an orderly storeroom and trollies
• Ensure customer satisfaction is maintained; guest property left behind is logged and stored securely as lost property
• Resolving any guest problems or complaints when possible and ensuring management are kept informed
• Actioning any maintenance requests in order to comply with the hotel’s established quality standards
• Ensure guest satisfaction
• Set and maintain standards of service commensurate with the standing of the hotel
• Managing stock control and ordering system to ensure availability of stock and cost control to maintain costs to a minimum
• Conduct regular inventory of supplies and linen and ensure appropriate par stocking is maintained
• Ensure that new hires are properly guided on work assignments and there is compliance to established standards
• Conduct performance evaluation of probationary employees and provide appropriate recommendation for end of probationary contract or regularization
• Conduct regular performance review and provide regular coaching and feedback
• Prepares schedule of staff for review and approval of the AEHK or EHK
• Monitor attendance of staff
• Provide support and assist the EHK in the accomplishment of departmental goals and objectives
• Maintain housekeeping files and records in an orderly and systematic manner
• Liaise with the accredited manpower agency for agency staff-related concerns and issues
• Prepares and submits reports as required or needed
• Attends regular Housekeeping Team briefings and meetings
• Attends other meetings, internal or external trainings, as required or needed
• Performs other tasks as may be assigned.
