Responsibilities
- Maintain the Glass Forming operation by monitoring fore hearths, feeders, I.S. machines, ware handling units and annealing lehrs.
- Perform swabbing of mold equipment and monitor the alignment of bottle at machine conveyor, cross conveyor and stacker.
- Record in the Glass Forming Daily Operations Reports (GFDOR) all relevant information pertaining to glass forming operation.
- Conduct bottle sampling and inspections.
- Identify, analyze and correct bottle defects.
- Provide feedback to counterpart Cold End (CE) Line Personnel regarding current operation’s condition that affects bottle quality.
- Provide feed forward to Production Services Department (PSD – Job Change) regarding machine, equipment and mold conditions.
- Provide feedback to immediate superior and fellow Line Personnel regarding bottle concerns during his shift or during his time at the line.
- Provide assistance to Production Services Department (PSD – Job Change) on Job Change activities and machine maintenance.
- Monitor and control gob weight and mold temperature.
- Maintain good bottle quality and monitor the condition of shear spray, gob drop, cullet chute, fore hearth temperature and hot end ware reject timing.
- Perform alternate mold maintenance.
- Ensure adherence to the Integrated Management Systems (IMS) of the company.
- Perform other related tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
