Job summary

PCCW GLOBAL Limited is seeking an experienced IP Network Engineer to support, optimize, and scale our core IP backbone. The role focuses on developing, improving, and maintaining robust LAN/WAN architectures to ensure network reliability and performance.

Key responsibilities include development and maintenance of the IP backbone, designing LAN/WAN solutions, and thorough testing to eliminate issues and drive improvements. Strong BGP/MPLS and Cisco hardware experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of hands-on network engineering experience.
• Advanced BGP, MPLS, and IS-IS/OSPF routing expertise.
• Hands-on Cisco NCS, ASR 9000/9900/1000, Nexus/CRS hardware.
• Willing to work maintenance windows outside standard hours.
• CCNA/CCNP preferred; CCIE is a plus.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced IP Network Engineer with a strong background to support, optimize, and scale our core IP backbone. In this role, you will develop, improve, and maintain robust LAN/WAN architectures while driving network reliability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting in the development, improvement and maintenance of the IP backbone network.
• Using knowledge of LAN/WAN systems to help design and install internal and external networks.
• Testing and evaluating network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements.

Requirements & Technical Skills

• 4 to 6 years of hands-on engineering experience in a network environment.
• Mastery of advanced BGP (including BGP Communities), MPLS (L2/L3 VPNs, Traffic Engineering), and IS-IS/OSPF routing protocols.
• Deep hands-on experience configuring and supporting Cisco Service Provider hardware platforms: Cisco NCS Series, Cisco ASR Series (9000, 9900, 1000), Cisco Nexus & CRS Series
• Working Conditions & Availability: Willingness to work maintenance windows outside standard office hours (nights/weekends).
• Certifications: CCNA/CCNP (Routing & Switching or Service Provider) strongly preferred; CCIE is a plus.
