Job summary

Metrobank is seeking a Trader in the Trust Banking Group/Investment Services Division to execute tradable investments across asset classes and ensure best execution for clients. The role involves managing deals across markets, maintaining accuracy with brokers, and upholding compliance within approved limits.

You will work in Metrobank BGC Center, Grand Hyatt, Taguig, collaborating with internal teams and external counterparties to deliver optimal investment outcomes for clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree holder in Business, Economics, Finance or related field.
• Relevant experience in Trust, Treasury, asset management, trading or investments.
• SEC and TCP certifications will eventually be required.
• Effective interpersonal skills to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Natural team player who collaborates well with others.
• Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Execute tradable investments across asset classes including Time Deposits, Money Market, Fixed Income, Equities, Offshore Funds, FX and Derivatives.
• Ensure best execution and fair dealing in all client transactions.
• Handle primary and secondary market deals, onshore and offshore.
• Maintain accuracy with counterparties/brokers and proper documentation.
• Accredit and maintain lines and limits with counterparties/brokers.

Job Summary:

Responsible for the execution of all tradable investments of TBG across multiple asset classes, including but not limited to Time Deposits, Money Market, Fixed Income, Equities, Offshore Funds/Collective Investment Schemes, Foreign Exchange and Derivatives. Ensures that clients receive the best available deals given a trading framework built on the concepts of best execution and fair dealing at all times.

Job Description:

Execution of tradable securities for TBG clients:

• Executes based on the principles of best execution and fair dealing at all times.
• Transactions cover multiple asset classes including but not limited to Time Deposits and other Money Market Instruments, Local and Global Fixed Income, Local and Global Equities, Offshore Funds/Collective Investment Schemes, Foreign Exchange (in relation to investments in USD or other currencies), and Derivatives (within BSP allowable securities).
• Handles deals on both primary and secondary market, onshore and offshore.
• Ensures dealt transactions are within trader limits.
• Provides list of available investment outlets to internal clients in a timely manner.
• Ensures details with accredited counterparties/ brokers are accurate and properly documented.

Accreditation and Maintenance of Counterparties and Brokers:

• Responsible for the accreditation, renewal/extension and addition/reduction/deletion of lines and investment limits with counterparties and brokers.
• Ensures dealt transactions with accredited counterparty/broker are within approved lines and limits.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree holder, preferably graduate of Business, Economics, Finance or related course
• Relevant experience in Trust, Treasury, asset management, trading or investments
• SEC and TCP certifications will eventually be required
• Effective interpersonal skills to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
