AFPSLAI through CIMD seeks a qualified professional to conduct research, analysis, and technical support for the investment function and liquidity monitoring activities.
You will evaluate banks for accreditation, analyze investment earnings, generate daily market rates, facilitate loans as needed for contingency funding, and prepare Investment and Liquidity reports to guide risk management.
Responsible for conducting research, analysis, assessment and technical support relative to the investment function and liquidity monitoring activities of CIMD.
Evaluates application/s for accreditation of banks or other financial institutions as potential investment partner or depository/servicing bank.
Analyzes actual earnings from investments on prevailing market rates and computes opportunity loss/gains, if any and assesses against financial statement.
Generates daily market rates (BVAL Rates), stock market performance and other macro-economic indicators by conducting sound evaluation for possible impact on investment program.
Facilitates bank loans, as authorized, to form part of contingency funding plan
Prepares reports relative to Investment Report and Other Liquidity Report
Recommends moderation for liquidity risks by establishing emergency funding sources.
Reviews financial information of accredited banks to help set placement limits, particularly in situations of the Association’s exposure to credit, investment, or liquidity risks.
Recommends credit rating of banks where potential cash operational funds would be placed for short-term time deposits.
Evaluates corporate and government bonds as a potential investment for a certain period and compliance with investment restrictions stated in the Investment Manual.
Oversees potential bond issuances as an investment strategy when surplus operational funds are available.
Educational Background:
Graduate of Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Accounting, Economics, Banking & Finance or Business Management
Work Experience:
Must have at least four (4) years of work-related experience in a related field.
