Job summary

Intro Recruitment Asia is recruiting on behalf of a publicly traded power and energy company in the Philippines for a senior financial modeling expert in Makati. The role is hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days WFH) and focuses on investment-grade financial modeling for projects, acquisitions, JVs and strategic investments.

You will evaluate project economics using NPV, IRR, ROIC, EBITDA, and DSCR, set modeling standards, and support decision-making through the investment cycle from development to COD.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years in financial modeling, project finance, or related fields.
• Experience in energy, infrastructure, or utilities is highly desirable.
• MBA, CFA, CPA or equivalent is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain investment-grade models for projects, acquisitions, JVs and strategic investments.
• Evaluate investment attractiveness using NPV, IRR, ROIC, EBITDA, DSCR, payback.
• Establish modeling standards, templates, documentation and version control.
• Provide financial analysis through development and NTP and support decisions.
• Maintain the investment case through execution and COD; quantify delays and cost overruns.
• Evaluate PPAs, tariffs, market prices, fuel costs and other commercial assumptions.
• Prepare investment analyses for senior management and boards; communicate assumptions and risks.
• Manage and develop the Financial Analyst; improve modeling tools and turnaround.

Client: A publicly traded power and energy company in the Philippines,

-Work Set up: Hybrid (3 days onsite 2 days WFH)

-Location: Makati

Responsibilities:

• -Develop and maintain investment-grade models for projects, acquisitions, JVs and strategic investments; independently review models prepared by internal teams and external advisers.
• -Evaluate project and investment attractiveness using NPV, IRR, ROIC, EBITDA, DSCR, payback and other relevant metrics; identify value drivers, downside risks and sensitivities.
• -Establish BD financial modeling standards, templates, assumptions, documentation, quality-control and version-control requirements.
• -Provide financial analysis through development and NTP; revalidate economics before major investment milestones and support decisions to continue, restructure, defer or discontinue projects.
• -Maintain the approved investment case through execution and COD; quantify the financial impact of material delays, cost overruns and commercial changes and elevate return erosion.
• -Evaluate PPAs, tariffs, market prices, fuel costs, generation profiles and other commercial assumptions; support valuation, transaction structuring, due diligence and financing analysis.
• -Prepare investment analyses for senior management, Investment Committees and the Board; clearly communicate assumptions, returns, risks, sensitivities and recommendations.
• -Manage and develop the Financial Analyst; improve modeling tools, processes and analytical turnaround.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Business or related discipline; MBA, CFA, CPA or equivalent is an advantage.
• Typically 7-10+ years in financial modeling, project finance, investment banking, corporate finance, transaction advisory, infrastructure investment or related fields.
• Strong experience in complex financial modeling, valuation and investment analysis; energy, infrastructure or utilities experience is highly desirable.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong understanding of financial statements, project finance, debt structures, taxation and investment returns.
