Job Description
The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the efficient management, accuracy, and control of all inventory within the manufacturing facility. This role ensures that materials, products, and supplies are properly tracked, stored, and available to meet production and sales demands. The Inventory Supervisor will lead a team, implement inventory control procedures, and collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to optimize inventory levels and reduce costs.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management:
- Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
- Conduct regular physical counts, cycle counts, and reconcile discrepancies.
- Ensure all inventory records in the system (ERP or inventory software) are accurate and up-to-date.
Team Supervision:
- Lead and train warehouse or inventory staff on proper inventory procedures.
- Assign daily tasks and monitor team performance.
Process Improvement:
- Develop and implement inventory control policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Identify inefficiencies in storage, retrieval, and stock handling, and recommend improvements.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in inventory management or warehouse supervision, preferably in a manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems (ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or Odoo).
- Experience in stock control, cycle counting, and warehouse operations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
