ACCEL Schools is seeking an Intervention Specialist at Capital City Sports Academy in Columbus, Ohio to support students with IEP goals in a rigorous, nurturing setting. The role focuses on student achievement and social-emotional development within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Current state license or teaching credential
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards
• Experience in inclusive or co-teaching in a resource room setting
• Ability to thrive in a growth-focused coaching environment with observation and progress monitoring
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to interpret student abilities and modify curricula as needed
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction
• Conduct functional behavior assessments and write behavior improvement plans
• Facilitate IEP meetings and write goals/objectives
• Communicate regularly with families about student progress
• Assist with non-instructional planning and events as needed
